How Pionetics was started.
Revolutionary ideas can start anywhere...even in a garage. Thirteen years ago, Dr. Eric Nyberg had an idea, and his garage became a staging ground for testing his theories on purifying water with electricity. In 1995, with co-founders Gordon Mitchard and Glenn Kawaguchi, Pionetics Corporation was formed. In August 1998, Dr. Nyberg was granted his first U.S. patent.

The goal of Pionetics has always been to bring cleaner, healthier and great-tasting water to populations around the globe, at low cost and with minimal environmental impact. In fact, the most exciting part of the Pionetics LINX® technology is its adaptability for use almost anywhere on the planet.

A growing worldwide market for water.
As populations grow and developing nations become more industrialized, there is an increasing need for water purification systems around the world. And water quality standards are becoming stricter. For example, with the new EPA arsenic rule reducing the allowable level to 10 ppb from 50 ppb going into effect in 2006, an estimated 4,100 small communities in the U.S. will need immediate solutions to comply.
